That's not true, but this post is going to be as random as its title.
This evening we played our first show in Kansas City. Once again I played the whole show (except for that second freaking clown gag which I am determined to learn for tomorrow) and I thought it went really well, especially Act I. I decided to come back to the train after the show since I didin't sleep that well last night and wanted to get some rest.
First thing: bus takes about, oh probably over a half hour of me waiting outside for it.
Second thing: everyone RAN to the bus when it got here to make sure to get a seat (which, surprisingly, there were many).
Third thing: The bus driver IS Rosie from Will and Grace. Not resembles her, not sounds like her, IS. SHE JUST IS. AND I LOVE IT.
So after the Chinese trampoline troupe yell for her to stop early, which I was grateful for since it involved me not having to walk back ten cars, I popped in a Smart Ones dinner and decided to put in laundry since it was free. I put in my laundry and, as I'm measuring my detergent, I notice it's really watery, and I'm disappointed because I went with a generic brand and of course this is what I get. As I walk back to my room, I read the label and realize...
I BOUGHT FABRIC SOFTENER. WHYYYYYYY?
So I guess my clothes will be really soft and only semi-clean. Read labels Chris, read labels. Just because it's shaped like detergent doesn't mean it is.
So as I'm sitting here eating my Chicken and Broccoli Rigatoni Alfredo, I decided to make a mental list of things I need:
-Milk. I keep forgetting it. And not that I forget it, there just isn't a time to get it where I won't be carrying it with me for hours. This will change when I get a key to the dressing cabinet that has a fridge in it
-The entire series of Will and Grace. Why don't I own this?
-The entire series of Sex and the City. Again, why?
-A new book. I only brought the seventh Harry Potter and will need something to read next time we travel (addendum: I should read Hunger Games!)
-A blanket, the one that was given to me is old and thin and lacks any color
-A whole new set of sinuses
While I do need all this stuff, I do have these!
And I got a magnet yesterday so now I have two! (sorry it's flipped)
I think another night I'm going to make a list of pet peeves...just because.
(after initially publishing this post, I saw this on my contact solutions box, and had to add it, since it seems to fit so well right here)
Time for bed, more to come tomorrow!
