So today is our last day in Greenville, and it's certainly been a very busy week. I've totally gotten behind on both working out and studying Italian because there is just so much to do and so many places I wanted to try to hit up. At least I was walking everywhere so that's good exercise haha.
On Tuesday I went to The Green Room because they have half-price appetizers from 4-6pm during the week. I ordered their mussels with pesto, and it was absolutely delicious and only $5! We also went to several other places that night, including The Art Bar, which had really good hand-crafted drinks. A couple other highlights from the week were The Cazbah, which is a very tasty tapas restaurant, Mary's at Falls Cottage, which serves very fresh dishes with local ingredients and sits right in the park, and Trappe Door, which has a large beer list of mostly Abbey beers, and a really great waitstaff with a delicious-looking menu (we didn't get a chance to eat there). Also by the park there is a bubble tea place called O-Cha, and it was REALLY GOOD bubble tea. I tried the mango-flavored milk tea and the coconut-flavored milk tea, both with jellies in the bottom.
Part of my other exciting news from the week is that I GOT AN IPHONE!!!!!!!! There is a Verizon retail store right on Main Street so I finally decided to stop in and get one and I LOVE IT. LOVE. IT. It is just so much better than my old phone in every way imaginable. Also, with the addition of my iPhone, I know have Instagram, and it might be my new obsession. It's surprisingly a lot of fun to take pictures of things and make them look artsy haha. Some examples are to follow briefly.
As well as going to a yoga class (which I actually really enjoyed too, even though I knew I looked foolish and kept laughing at myself) I went to the Greenville County Art Museum. It's a very tiny museum but it had some interesting pieces of mostly American artists and some local artists as well. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take pictures...oh well.
So part of what inspired me to write today is that I got one of the nicest compliments from an unexpected place. The paymaster told me that I inspired her with my enthusiasm for life and really taking full advantage of every city and finding fulfillment in this job. The whole reason I started this job is that I hoped that by being inspired by others, I would, in turn, inspire others as well, and apparently that is coming through, which means so much to me. As human beings, don't we all strive to make a lasting impression on others and hope to improve lives by motivating and inspiring others? With her words I feel like I am actually achieving what I hoped to accomplish with this blog. So thank you, Tika, for you've inspired me to keep being myself and keep striving for self-improvement in order to inspire others.
Well now that that's done, time for some pictures!

There was a children's garden off the bike path and this area was Secret Garden themed!
