Sorry it's been a while since I updated, I've been oddly busy this past week, since so many things were so close to the train in Greensboro. Let's see, where did I leave off...
So that coffee shop in Greensboro is called Sessions and it's fantastic. Good beer, good wine, and really good coffee drinks. I ended up spending a lot of time there after shows playing Yahtzee one night, and The Game of Life: Haunted Mansion another night while watching episodes of Hoarders on their TV which plays Netflix.
Taylor, LaRena and I ended up walking to a nearby mall and after doing a little shopping we saw Beauty and the Beast 3D and The Woman in Black. Beauty and the Beast was wonderful, of course, and it was fun to watch it on the big screen. The Woman in Black was pretty good, not my favorite, but not terrible. I still would like to see the play version of it in London though. Afterwards, LaRena and I got dinner at this place called Sticks and Stones, which had DELICIOUS food. I got a burger with garlic rosemary fries, and LaRena got one of their specialty pizzas that had fried eggplant along with other delicious goodies. I was hoping to go back there to try their pizza too, but unfortunately I didn't make it back there, as the weather got REALLY REALLY cold at the end of the week.
There was also this Italian place on the corner called Bianca's where I stopped in to get a meal to go. I got eggplant rollatini that came with pasta, soup, salad, garlic bread, and a dessert for $13! And it was really good too! I ate half of it on the train and saved the other half for later because it was so much food!
Oh! There was also this game store called The Grinning Gamer that sold all kinds of strategy and card games, like Munchkin and some other ones that we've been playing on the train. Jen and I went there looking around at some games, and the guys in there were about to start playing Game of Thrones, the board game, so we sat down and joined them for a little bit! It reminded me that I still need to read that series, and maybe check out an episode of the TV show.
When we went shopping we stopped at Barnes and Noble and I got a book called How To Run A Theatre which is a book about Arts Management. I've really been enjoying it so far, and as informative as it is, it also has me really thinking about getting my masters in Arts Administration. I think it's something I definitely want to do in the future and something I'd be really good at, and the more I read the book, the more sure I am of that.
I have some pictures to share, but silly me left my phone connector at home, so those will have to be uploaded later. Oh well...
P.S. RIP Whitney Houston. You and your voice will not be forgotten
The Game of Thrones series is a good read. I'm on the fifth book right now. I am looking forward to season two of the tv show as well (I saw the first season before I read the books). =)
